The Activities

The Game Comp Erasmus project is built on a foundation of dynamic and interactive activities designed to achieve our objectives and maximize impact. Here’s a closer look at the key activities driving our mission to enhance sustainability competencies among youth through gamified learning:

1. Gamified Sustainability Competence Assessment Tool

Design and Validation: We are creating a comprehensive and engaging assessment tool to measure young people’s sustainability competencies. This tool will be developed in collaboration with youth and youth workers to ensure its
relevance and effectiveness.

Refinement: Through iterative testing and feedback, we will refine the tool to optimize its usability and impact, making it a valuable resource for assessing and improving sustainability skills.

2. Educational E-Games Development

Conceptualization and Design: Our team is developing 60 innovative digital educational games aimed at fostering the 12 competencies outlined in the European Sustainability Competence Framework (GreenComp). These games will provide an immersive learning experience, combining fun and education.

Piloting and Feedback: We will pilot these games with youth groups across participating countries, gathering feedback to enhance their effectiveness and engagement.

3. Workshop Scenarios Co-Design

Interactive Scenarios: We are co-designing 60 workshop scenarios that facilitate hands-on learning experiences. These scenarios will be developed with input from youth workers and educational experts to ensure they are practical and impactful.

Implementation and Testing: These workshops will be tested and refined through real-world implementation, ensuring they effectively foster sustainability competencies.

4. Development of Instructional Materials

Comprehensive Guides: We are creating detailed instructional materials for youth workers and trainers, including guides, lesson plans, and best practices for using the gamified assessment tool and educational games.

Resource Toolkit: This toolkit will provide all the necessary resources to deliver high-quality sustainability education, supporting youth workers in their crucial role.

5. Training of Trainers (ToT)

Empowering Youth Workers: We will conduct a series of Training of Trainers (ToT) sessions to empower at least 250 youth workers with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively use the developed tools and resources.

Capacity Building: These training sessions will focus on enhancing the capacity of youth workers to deliver impactful sustainability education and to foster a culture of environmental stewardship among young people.

6. Communication and Dissemination

Raising Awareness: We will engage in extensive communication and dissemination activities to share our project results, tools, and best practices with a broader audience. This includes online campaigns, workshops, conferences, and publications.

Stakeholder Engagement: By involving stakeholders from various sectors, we aim to maximize the reach and impact of our project, promoting the integration of our tools and resources into diverse educational settings. Through these activities, the Game Comp Erasmus project aims to create a sustainable impact by equipping youth and youth workers with the skills, knowledge, and resources necessary to drive environmental and sustainable development. Our innovative approach combines gamified learning with practical, hands-on experiences, ensuring that young people are prepared to meet the challenges of the future and become proactive agents of change.
